1. People without epilepsy aren't getting it. Yes, @netflix put a warning that a special effect in @Stranger_Things can cause a potentially fatal seizure in people with epilepsy. This disease is hard enough for us without being told "Screw you. You also can't watch this show...
@netflix @Stranger_Things 2..."because of your disease." Seriously? Imagine if you couldn't see your favorite show because they put in an effect that they knew could cause an asthma attack. Or diabetic shock. They are LITERALLY putting something in that they KNOW can cause a potentially lethal...

@netflix @Stranger_Things 4...did it anyway. Which is why I am saying, the entire #epilepsy community should cancel our @netflix accounts until they FINALLY stop attacking us. If they don't want us to watch their shows, then fine. We won't. Millions and millions of us won't.

@brithume 2...a couple of cases in specifics - blacks who were told "no apartments" immediately followed by whites told "we have apartments"...
@brithume 3...then of course, there is the Trump agent who said the buildings were safe because they were "XXX" by the Mafia (can't make out word) and because there were no blacks in the area....

1. The man I met today tells how a Florida @GOP Cuban American flipped to @TheDemocrats: Fled Cuba with his family to Mexico, crossed US border, presented as refugee. Family kept together, treated well, allowed out, returned for scheduled hearing. Family granted asylum....
2...knows that, had trump been president, his family would have been torn apart, they would have been locked up and treated like criminals for following the law on refugee status. “These people don’t understand how asylum works,” he said. He and his whole family now Citizens....
3....I ask, do you support Trump? He replies, and I quote “You think I’m some sort of monster? I would never support those people. They are inhuman.”

Hopefully the “I’m too good to vote” people will hear the “I escaped this nightmare by the skin of my teeth” immigrants.

Many people seem unaware of the impact of depression on cognitive function (i.e. thinking abilities).

I discovered this when a few small replies I made recently on someone’s thread garnered a total of a few thousand likes (and still counting).

So, a brief Tweetorial. /1
Impairment of cognition — meaning, impaired ability to think, remember, solve problems, etc. — is quite common in depression, and is a very common cause of cognitive complaints in medical practice overall.

There are two major reasons depression causes cognitive problems. /2
The first is that it makes you slower.

When you’re depressed, everything looks grey, and there’s no hope, so it’s awfully hard to motivate yourself to do things.

That includes thinking about things & solving problems. You might do it eventually, but it’ll take you longer. /3

This morning we expect to hear a long version of the agreed statement of facts. That could take quite awhile as the crown will likely go through each victim. How they met Bruce McArthur, how they were killed, dismembered and disposed of.
Crown Attorney Michael Cantlon indicated last Tuesday when Bruce McArthur pleaded guilty to 8 counts of First Degree murder, that some family members of the victims have already indicated they will sit outside court when those details are read out. They will likely be horrifying
