And since I'm on the topic of hard truths, on the leaked internal polls of white, non-college educated voters some top Democratic consultants have put out to help buoy Biden's candidacy:

Spoiler Alert: @AOC IS going to be the centerpiece of the GOP's attack strategy in 2020. Her lovely face will appear on every direct mailer sent out between Anchorage and Pembroke. She and @SpeakerPelosi will guest star in ads attacking Dem state legislative candidates. This is
the unavoidable reality that Ds can do nothing to change. But what Ds can do is try their best to elevate the public images of both Pelosi & A.O.C. AND more importantly, they can counter w their own mailers that tie state legislative Republicans to Trump. Its called nationalized
politics, and that's the way things work these days. In addition, whether the nominee be @JoeBiden at one end of the spectrum, or @SenSanders at the other, the mamin policy message the GOP will be using is that Democrats want to turn America into a socialist hellhole. The nominee
won't change that. There's a great book by Daniel Hopkins that shows how nationalized election campaigns have become, how much more responsive voters are to nationalized messaging, and how much better the GOP is w this technique. press.uchicago.edu/ucp/books/book…
