Hey, remember when these folks were told that if they didn't like America they should just go back where they came from? Yeah, I didn't think so...I guess it's ok for white conservatives to bash the country though...

Or even these guys in Charlottesville, who carried two flags of nations that actually went to WAR against America...Trump never told them to leave if they aren't happy, or go back where they came from...

1/ Seriously, for those Democrats obsessing over getting "Obama to Trump" voters back: seriously, how can you possibly know what would work for such people as this? These folks voted for a guy who got them health care, then for the guy who promised to take it from them...
2/ They voted for Obama and then the guy who told them Obama wasn't even an American. If you think you can predict how to capture people as fickle and irrational as this you are fooling yourselves. They are not making rational decisions amenable to focus group-driven strategy...
3/ Not saying you can't get some back, but there is no way to know what it would take, and thus, no logic to fashioning campaign strategy with that as your goal...

1/ As a follow-up to my thread on Sunday, which touched such a nerve (mostly positive) w/people, let me bottom line one thing I didn't make clear enough, but which those of us who fought David Duke also learned (don't worry, this won't be as long as the last thread!)...
2/ When confronting a candidate whose entire politic is rooted in racial/ethnic/religious resentment--the politics of prejudice--there might be a couple of ways to squeak out a victory, but only one way to really win, if by win we mean more than just beating one individual...
3/ And we need to do more than just beat one individual in these cases, whether it's Duke or Trump. Because Duke-ism and Trumpism present long term existential threats to the country. So normal rules (all we need is 50% plus 1) don't apply the same way...

...a brief note. If u click the link in this piece that takes u to the various TV ads that either our group or the Democratic Party in LA ran, the You Tube title says these were all from 91. That's wrong. The 1st ad--the one I say was deeply flawed in the piece--was from 1990...

Many Iranians criticised one of BBC Farsi’s journalists for her comments on Iran-Hezbullah relations. Some have even threatened her that she won’t be allowed to go back to Iran after the fall of the regime. Many Iranians believe some of @bbcpersian journalists support the regime.
In the past few days some anti-BBC slogans have been chanted by the protesters in Iran. In a comment one of BBCFarsi journalist claims that ‘Trump wants to turn Iran into another Syria by starting a civil war etc’. The same propaganda which is pumped out by Iranian state media.
Some of @BBCPersian journalists block anyone who criticises them. One of its journalists in particular has publicly supported A.Khamenei on his social media pages. I have written to a few MPs and the BBC about. Will see if BBC is interested in opening an investigation.

Hey guys, I know I usually just post shitty jokes on my Twitter but bear with me because I wanted to share something.

So in one of my Management classes I sit in the same seat in the front every day. Every single day I sit there.

Now, I also sit next to some foreign guy that
barely speaks English. The most advanced thing I've heard this guy say in English is "Wow, my muffin is really good".

This guy also has a habit of stacking every item he owns in the exact space I sit. His bag, his food, his books, and his phone are ALWAYS right on my desk space.
Now, every single time I walk into class this guy says "Ah, Tom. You here. Okay." And starts frantically clearing my desk of his belongings. He then makes it a habit to say "Ready for class, yeah?" And gives me a high five. Every day this guy gives me a high five.
