Here’s how much Epstein paid PBSO *while* he was incarcerated. He paid it from a foundation he owned — the same foundation Epstein went to work at everyday during his work release. bit.ly/2LWmqlA @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Contact5
Take a look at the one page record we received from @PBCountySheriff when we asked for financial records. We’ve followed up asking for receipts, since it’s not clear what the money was used for. bit.ly/2LWmqlA @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Contact5
This comes as South Florida attorney Brad Edwards reveals that “more than one woman” has come forward with claims that Epstein received female visitors that he also propositioned while out on work release. Edwards represents some of Epstein’s victims from the 2008 case. @WPTV
We asked @PBCountySheriff about those allegations. This was the response we received from spokeswoman Teri Barbera. bit.ly/2LWmqlA @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Contact5 #Epstein
Editor’s note: The YouTube video referenced by Barbera in the previous tweet was shot in-house by @PBCountySheriff’s media relations department. You can find the link here. (It’s currently unlisted on the ‘Tube.) —-> bit.ly/2LWmqlA @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Epstein
I asked Barbera who is producing the documentary. She wrote, “The company asked to be kept confidential as they have not completed their documentary yet.” I just asked for emails between Barbera + the docu company. Keep you posted on the $$ estimate associated w/ those records.
#Epstein was also a convicted sex offender. Today, @PBCountySheriff spokeswoman Teri Barbera told me he was allowed to participate in a work release program because he didn’t *register* as a sex offender until after his release. bit.ly/2GaQXIp @WPTV #Epstein
I asked Barbera if that meant any convicted sex offender, who wasn’t yet registered, but had to serve jail time, could participate in PBSO’s work release program. She didn’t respond to that question. bit.ly/2GaQXIp @WPTV @WPTVContact5 #Epstein
We’ve asked @PBCountySheriff for a list of all convicted sex offenders AND a list of all inmates charged under Florida’s prostitution laws (796.07) who ALSO got work release benefits.....they want to charge $258.49 for those records. So far #Epstein’s name is the only 1 we have.
I’ve asked @PBCountySheriff’s Barbera to breakdown the cost. Looks like it could take awhile for PBSO to figure out how many convicted sex offenders or those charged with prostitution crimes have ALSO been given work release benefits under Sheriff Ric Bradshaw. Keep ya posted.
In support of @PBCountySheriff’s claims, we requested records which would prove Epstein only had biz meetings while on work release. (Including 464 deputy reports and a visitor log.) Per @MiamiHerald, that log ”no longer exists”. Waiting on a response from PBSO to confirm.
Looks like I attached the wrong story link to some of these tweets. For the record — this is the right link. bit.ly/2LWmqlA @WPTV
