for the record, oldest car I've ever been in is a 1906 Pope-Toledo
also for the record, oldest car I've ever owned is a 1923 Ford Model T roadster pickup. Not a fiberglass T-bucket, but legit Henry Ford steel. But it was, um, slightly modified

This is blatantly superficial diversity point-scoring, which was the point of Soviet propaganda.

It's also not accurate to say that the Soviets/Russians did more for actual cosmonaut diversity than @NASA did.

Follow this thread; I'll even use the @nytimes to refute itself.
Beyond showy first feats that are cosmetic - first woman, first Asian man, etc. - the truth is that the Russians always had a much narrower range of crew sizes.

Take it from an article I found in the 1995 digitized archives of the Times itself:

For the Russian Space Program, astronauts had to be 5’5” - 6' tall, with seated height no more than 37 inches; weigh no more than 187 pounds; and, for Soyuz spacesuits, have chests no smaller than 38 inches and no larger than 44 inches.

I think Americans did walk on the moon. I also thought the hollacost was a real thing five years ago. I don't think you're stupid if you disagree. I might be wrong.

I was listening to Owen Benjamin yesterday talk about how he thinks it's fake. He's a smart guy so I listened. /2
Owen made one or two good arguments along with a couple dumb ones. So I decided to go do some research myself.

In my article above, NASA's 32 Saturn Rocket launches decoded as Osiris resurrection ritual. NASA being publicly funded means every tax payer sacrifices silver for the ceremony. Children worship astronauts. This is an ancient resurrection ritual of the golden phallus. So obvious.
