Con Ed is responding to outages affecting roughly 4,500 customers citywide. Largest outages are in Flushing and Richmond Hill in Queens; Park Slope, Flatbush and Brighton Beach in Brooklyn; and Lincoln Square in Manhattan.
City agencies are working with them to restore power ASAP. Follow @NotifyNYC for updates on restoration.
Con Ed is asking customers in Sunnyside and Woodside in Queens to turn off non-essential appliances to conserve power while repairs are being made. They’re asking same of customers in Flatbush, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Prospect Heights, Canarsie and Flatlands.
Con Ed has reduced voltage in these areas to protect equipment and prevent wider outages. If you’re able to reduce your power usage, please do so. It will help EVERYONE get back to full power.

@NotifyNYC will have more updates throughout the evening.
Con Ed’s latest estimate is approx 15K customers affected by outages.
