Forceful Conversion.

Madurai, Samayanallur, People gather in large numbers before a newly built Church and stage protests alleging that they force locals to convert, offering cash and gifts.

No action despite police complaints.
We are nomadic fortune tellers, we live here for ages & when we go away for a living, Church forcefully takes our kids to Sunday mass, offers them biryani, makes money showing them as orphans.

Forces us to come to Church when our husbands are away, if we refuse, they pelt stones
We women were safe and even venture out in the midnight if there is an emergency but things have changed ever since this Church came here, we cannot go to hospitals or anywhere, they pelt stones at us from bushes.

We do not want this Church here, save us and save Hinduism.

One Lakshmanan of Trichy who questioned conversion attempt brutally thrashed.

A Van belongs to church used to take kids to church for Bible sermons.

A kid was injured in knee as he was forced to kneel down for hours for prayers.

Lakshmanan who questioned this was thrashed.
A Van from Pon Nagar Church used to take kids of below 10 years old to Church everyday during holidays, drop them back after 2 hours.

Parents were told by the church that kids are being taught "GK", hence they allowed.
A kid was injured in knee & when asked, he reportedly told his parents that they all are usually asked to kneel down for hours & pray during sermons.

Lakshmanan of the same locality told the van driver not to take kids to Church for religious sermons.

A small Krishna temple in Triplicane Chennai, in the street adjacent to Parthasarathy temple.

Some crooks have placed a Bible or Christian Religious Text inside the enclosure!

This nonsense is going beyond limits.
How is religious freedom described in the holy book of secularism?

Trespassing into one's place of worship and insulting their faith by calling their gods Satans and distributing pamphlets abusing their religion?

Why are law enforcement agencies soft towards such elements?


Just last week!

Constitution gives everyone the right to practice and spread their faith, but that should not be done by insulting others faiths.

This sort of impositions will not be questioned by saner progressive brigade.

Going to start a thread on the Biblical book of Jonah. @Tyndale_House I have heard this book read out loud in Hebrew in just 4 minutes.
The opening is unparalleled as it breaks straight into action—the action of the word of the Lord coming to Jonah.
1:2 continues the directness with a pair of imperatives, which are monosyllables in Hebrew and lack any joining word: ‘arise, go’—qum lek. The directness makes ambiguity impossible.

I immensely respect the work of Bishop Barron, but I fundamentally disagree with the pastoral plan I've heard him repeatedly outline for the Church, one that's centered around a new apologetics.

Bishop Barron is, of course, correct in his assertion that many young Catholics see faith as being in conflict with science and reason. No question. But, in my years of experience, I have not found this to be the primary reason why people walk away from the Church.
