Our Google Nigeria Country Director, @jehimuan giving an update on what we have been up to so far. On Digital Skills we have trained 4M out of our 10M commitment. #GoogleforNigeria
So far we have trained 15K developers. We also partnered with Pluralsight and Andela, we awarded 33K scholarships. Since launching last year, 35 startups have graduated from Launchpad Accelerator Africa, and they’ve created 385 jobs& raised $19-million. #GoogleforNigeria
We are committing $4 million from @Googleorg to support youth empowerment, gender equality and agriculture, alongside piloting new initiatives to power the social impact ecosystem and promoting research on what the future of work looks like for African youth. #GoogleforNigeria
We also aimed to train 60 startups over 3 years with our Launchpad Accelerator Africa program. Since launching last year, 35 startups have graduated, and they’ve created 385 jobs and raised over $19-million. #GoogleforNigeria
Google Head of AI in Accra, @Moustapha_6C says his team uses research and tech tools like Machine learning to tackle African problems. His team is working on building AI by Africans for the world. #GoogleforNigeria
Today we’re honoured to announce that, in partnership with the Nigerian Government, an online safety curriculum will be made available to all Primary and Secondary school students in the country; reaching an estimated 56 Million Nigerian students every year. #GoogleforNigeria
StreetView is launching in Abuja, Benin City, Enugu and Ibadan adding almost 12 thousand kilometers of roads in Nigeria. #GoogleforNigeria

Bolo, a speech-based reading app with one on one assistance to help kids learn how to read is coming to Nigeria and Ghana. The app encourages kids aged 6-11 to read out loud and then provides feedback to help improve their reading capabilities. #GoogleforNigeria
