These Democrats voted AGAINST beginning impeachment proceeding against tЯuml🇷🇺 yesterday. They should explain to you why. Of course it will not pass in the Senate. But history will remember that we had a pres of the US who flagrantly violated law after law,
and Congress did absolutely nothing. No future pres will be subject to the Law.

THIS YEAR, the @NRA opposed a Red Flag bill In Virginia: “...contact committee members and urge them to OPPOSE Gov. Northam’s gun control bill that allows individuals to be stripped of their Second Amendment rights without due process on baseless accusations.” [NRA-ILA, 1/15/19]
In states with Red Flag Laws that specify the types of evidence the court may consider to grant a temporary restraining order to remove weapons, nearly all include consideration of recent threats or acts of violence, which may have been relevant in the Virginia Beach case.
Red Flag Laws are constitutional and effective, which is why 15 states passed them; 10 since the Parkland shooting tragedy. Nevada’s governor is preparing to sign the nation’s 16th. There is bipartisan support for Red Flag Laws, and Congress should pass a federal version.

This is false.

The truth is, @NRA actively lobbied VA lawmakers & Congress to make it *easier* for this man to kill.

It lists 3 bills that could've made it harder for #VirginiaBeachShooting killer to get guns

Virginia Democrats don't just want to ban future sales of "assault firearms" as a few states have done, they want to outright ban possession which means confiscation. And their vauge definition of "assault firearms" applies to most currently sold in VA. freebeacon.com/issues/va-gove…
The only defining characteristic they've released thus far is any firearm "equipped" with a magazine that holds 10 or more rounds. That's nearly every semi-automatic handgun and rifle sold in the state. The vast majority come standard with magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
The governor's office refused to return my calls or answer my questions on the proposed ban so there's no more details on what the actual legislation will look like or how Democrats would enforce such a law.

The @NRA & #gun companies are not evil but they are part of the problem. And the amazing thing is: all the folks clamoring to #BoycottNRA don't even know how bad it really is!
5 things the #NRA & gun manufacturers have successfully lobbied to create...
1) Background chk system overseen by the ATF that is forbidden to digitize records & so must keep all records on paper
2) BG chk system that is enormously hobbled at ATF bec of extreme funding shortages so that it can't do its job well & so that the NRA can claim it doesn't work
3) Passage of the #Dickey Amendment that forbids gov't research from reaching conclusions that might be construed as advocating for gun control, thus allowing the #NRA to say, "No studies show..." and leaving legislators with no data to back up laws that might work
