Cops who turn off body cams should be fired. Cops who lie should be fired. If violence is involved, the cop should be fired, prosecuted, and blacklisted in perpetuity. Prosecutors should have no discretion to drop cop cases, especially if a grand jury indicts. Take back power.
While we're at it, we need to adopt an absolute standard for the use of force, not this arbitrary, subjective, cop-protecting "I felt threatened," stand your ground bullshit. There is no excuse for discharging a firearm unless you or someone else are in immediate mortal danger.
If cops can arrest white mass shooters without firing a shot or even messing up their hair then they can figure out to not empty their clips into innocent black people on a routine basis for racist, trivial, incomprehensible reasons.
