@dylanmatt This gets particularly problematic if/when a Democrat wins -- due to the literal definition of the office of the presidency, they can’t actually deliver on any of the things that took up all the air during the campaign, so the folks who were all-in get disillusioned & cynical.
@dylanmatt That’s not to say our candidates shouldn’t have big dreams; North stars are important. But it’s worth being honest about what role the president *actually* plays in passing legislation. And, the things the president actually *does* control should be discussed more.
