A phrase taken from Jewish tradition, which I find helpful to say when someone has died, for any reason.
Despite the nature of the tragedy, the injustice of it, one can always hope that his or her memory will be a blessing in some way.
When all's said and done, what we need is:
Especially when they are targeted for race or religion.
Most of the other shootings I mentioned were race/religion motivated.
I consider religious freedom a proxy for overall freedom.
Especially if you are Jewish. Throughout time and place, where the Jewish people are free, we are all free.
Fight antisemitism and you fight all hatred, and you win.
