Silent majority in Kashmir is speaking. Mohammad Ashraf Azad of All J&K Peace Council speaks to me in Srinagar about support of Muslims over abolition of Article 370 as it would end dynasty rule and corruption, bringing more jobs, peace and end to violence. Will you hear him?
Yet another excerpt of my interview with Mohammad Ashraf in Kashmir commenting about end of Hurriyat's business model in Kashmir. He welcomes PM @narendramodi's speech and positive promises for peace & development across J&K. The usual suspects in media will never interview him.
Mohd. Ashraf Azad: Few people (Hurriyat) trying to muddy the waters in Kashmir. Now that can't happen ever. Things will slowly normalise. Youth have now finally got identity in Kashmir and when the jobs come they will say 'Hindustan Zindabad'. Hear the silent majority voice.

Interesting to see two editors and a reporter paradrop to Kashmir for 'reporting' and return via next available flight because they aren't used to work under trying circumstances. Upon landing in Delhi, they abuse their Delhi colleagues reporting from Kashmir against all odds.
If these 'journalists' would have got internet at Omar Abdullah or Mehbooba Mufti residence, they would have stayed at Gupkar and abused India in flowery language over Goshtabas, Kebabs and Phirni. Sadly that can't happen for them. Hence this frustration to attack us now.
These 'journalists' who thrive on anti-India hate are now staring at their conflict business model being broken. Listen up, I am not just a journalist. I am a Kashmiri. It's my home. So spare me the sermon and do your job sitting in Kashmir. Provoking violence isn't journalism.

#BREAKING: Official Statement. Restrictions imposed in Srinagar. Government has imposed restrictions under section 144 CrPC in District Srinagar with effect from Midnight 5th August 2019 which shall remain in force till further orders. (1/n)
As per the order there shall be no movement of public and all educational institutions shall also remain closed. There will be a complete bar on holding any kind of public meetings or rallies during the period of operation of this order. (2/n)
Identity cards of essential services officials will be treated as movement passes wherever required. However, there is no curfew in place as reported in a section of media. (3/3)

Why is ICJ verdict a slap on Pakistan and victory for India?

1) Execution stopped.
2) Pak national jurisdiction contained.
3) Military Court trial not acceptable.
4) Pak Military again stigmatised.
5) India's stand on Vienna Convention upheld.
6) India's legal arguments upheld.
Why is #KulbhushanJadhav innocent?

1) Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran, where he was residing and carrying on business after retiring from Indian Navy.

2) There is absolutely no clarification by Pakistan about the circumstances of his arrest.
India’s persistent efforts led to ICJ Verdict:

1) India fought the kidnapping of Jadhav since the day it was informed about the ‘arrest’.

2) India put intense diplomatic pressure on Pakistan through numerous diplomatic notes & demarches and letter from EAM for Consular Access.

Those who are suppressing the dreaded abrogation of civic liberties by dangling the carrot of industrial development - have neither set up an industry - nor have experienced a life w/o civil liberties & FRs.
Those fapping over the prospect of buying plots & building houses / spas / retreats in J&K - have never lived a day in a hostile neighbourhood.

Those who're pontificating "nationalism" to support the ghastly atrocities on fellow citizens - don't know what "nationalism" means
Try setting up an industry in a place where the locals are hostile towards you.

In an year, the bankers would be adding that loan to the NPAs.

Forget the massive, all pervasive hostility - even a small bunch of hostile anti-socials can bring an industry to a grinding halt.

There will be 2 new Union Territories -
Ladakh (with no legislature)
Jammu & Kashmir (with legislature)
#Ladakh has a very sparse population and hence will be an overkill to have a CM along with a Lieutenant General. It will be governed by the centre like Dadra Nagar, Daman Diu etc.
