So now with #Artcle370Scrapped, the article 35A is moot and doesn’t stand.

There will be 2 new Union Territories -
Ladakh (with no legislature)
Jammu & Kashmir (with legislature)

#Ladakh has a very sparse population and hence will be an overkill to have a CM along with a Lieutenant General. It will be governed by the centre like Dadra Nagar, Daman Diu etc.

With their district ethnicity and cultural background, the people of #Ladakh have been looking for an independent identity separate from the war ravaged J&K.
An independent UT status gives them the chance to showcase themselves as a tourism hub in the north.

For the Centre, it’s a great opportunity to focus on infrastructure and tourism, and show the slightly reluctant local residents of #Kashmir what development looks & feels like... in their own backyard! A compelling argument for local youth without any baggage of the past!

For #JammuKashmir, a UT with legislature means it will have a Chief Minister just like Delhi and Puducherry, along with a centre appointed Lieutenant General overseeing the local government.

What this means is
1. Most importantly-Indians from rest of the country can buy property in J&K-meaning more integration with the country. No more them vs us.
2. Kashmiri women, marrying a non Kashmiri will have the right to inherit property in J&K.
...

3. The federal laws, education policies, infra projects, healthcare, #SwachhBharat will be easier 2 implement. #JammuKashmir will be rubbing shoulders on development & quality-of-life fronts with other states.

4. Universities can now be setup to harness the #JammuKashmir youth, exposing them to opportunities in the job sector.

(Along with an appreciation for better job opportunities than stone pelting)

5. For the Central Government- a huge unstoppable leak in its coffers has been M-Sealed... finally!! Imagine Rs 88k crore the Centre pays to #JammuKashmir on top of security w/o getting much in return can be used for infra, industry, jobs, healthcare w/ ease of implementation

6. Ohh and of course, better security for the locals given the application of three rule of law.
