This thread will focus instead on some other statements he made about election security.
"If nothing happens - I believe the kind of interference we will see from possible foreign actors in 2020 -- and it will not just be the Russians, folks -- the kind of thing we'll see in 2020 will make 2016 look like child's play."
"Election officials across the country, as we speak, are buying election systems that will be out of date the moment they open the box."
Wyden is referring to the @AP scoop by @latams on "new" election systems still using Windows 7.

"We've got now a few weeks to make a big, big difference in democracy for America."
Wyden referring to his PAVE Act. It'll take at least a year to make needed changes to improve election security for Nov. 2020. Window is closing.

"We have 200 years of self-governance and democracy, in my view, on the line in the 2020 elections. I will tell you, as a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, this is national security priority business."
Wyden wound up to this by saying a close election that voters doubted could provide a blow to trust in American democracy. Yes, it would. 2000 did. 2016 did. (1960 was iffy, I understand). @RonWyden, why does 2020 have the potential to be worse?
