For my next column at @FilmComment I wrote about Dennis Hopper's 1980 film OUT OF THE BLUE, starring Linda Manz in a performance that has to be seen to be believed ... it's a punk rock movie like no other punk rock movie. Here's the column: filmcomment.com/blog/present-t… 
@FilmComment The timing of this is deliberate: I chose to write about OUT OF THE BLUE for this particular week because next week is "Elvis Week" ... and of all the Elvis-haunted movies out there, OUT OF THE BLUE is the Elvis-haunted-est of them all.

@FilmComment Earlier this year, OUT OF THE BLUE appeared on Amazon Prime. I couldn't believe it. It's no longer there. I saw it back in the 90s at ... Facets in Chicago - or maybe it was The Music Box - can't remember. Keep your eyes peeled it if you haven't seen it.
