Of the many valuable things I learned in Strategic Coach, none was more valuable than this...

Time off, for an entrepreneur, is not a reward for hard work. It’s recharge time required for the creativity and energy needed to do your job. Prioritize it ahead of *everything* else.

2/ The 100-Day Sprint begins on Sept 3 (the day after Labour Day in North America). It is the most vital 100 business days of the year. If you go into this sprint tired, you will limp to the finish line and not plan proactively for next year.

3/ Today I’m planning my 6 weeks summer vacation for next year. (2x1 week and 1x4 weeks) This isn’t a brag, it’s a public declaration to keep me accountable to myself. I’m also writing a letter to myself to be opened on June 1, exhorting myself to stick to my commitment.

4/ I’ve had the best summer in a long time. I’m 53 next month and a successful entrepreneur. I have no excuse to fail the summer vacation exam *ever* again.

5/ This might be the most important pass/fail exercise of my career. Any other entrepreneurs out there want to make a pact to hold each other accountable to proper summer vacations? [fin]
