1/ Hey man, thanks for watching my vids. I see this question a lot, so I’ve put together a more in-depth answer for anyone currently researching @Conste11ation $DAG. Feel free to share. Here's my view on how the @dodsbir & #USAF will utilize the #Hypergraph and $DAG Image
2/ While the @dodsbir et al may currently be running a private instance of the #Hypergraph code base (Tessellation) to optimize data flows on their infrastructure (without deploying $DAG), this is extremely unlikely to persist in the long term for two reasons.
3/ First, the purpose of the #Hypergraph is to collect, validate and transmit data. It does this, inter alia, through edge computing & data locality. If the DOD were to ultimately run a separate private network, this would mean they would need to own the devices "at the edge".

Hot Take: Strategic Bombers are obsolete!!
#USAF & #Indianairforce engaged in #Copeindia2023 & the former bought #B1B and are making #B21. The #Chinese are building new H-6Ks. The #Russians are building new #Tu160. You ask, #εpsilon why do you think bombers are obsolete? Image
Coz, in a peer conflict, none of these will be used as strategic bombers as that role is behind them. These will be used as #Cruisemissile carriers that will never do old school bombing until all enemy AD is down. Pic credits: #Indianairforce Image
Look at #Russians for eg. In #Syria, they used #Tu22M as old school bombers as the AD threat was very low. In #Ukraine, these are launching missiles from well inside #Russian and #Belarussian territories. Image

My Indian followers,#Russians have benefitted a lot from you guys designing and purchasing #Russian origin gear for them to swoop in and buy some you guys paid to develop or revive. Exhibit A: Su-30MKI becomes Su-30SM. #εpsilon ImageImage
There are two distinct #Su30 lines, #Indian #Su30MKI at Irkut plant and its derivatives and #Chinese #Su30MKK at KNAAPO plant and its derivatives. The Su-30SM, bought in nos is from MKI lineage. To be fair #Russianairforce also bought 18 Su-30M2s to keep KNAAPO busy before #Su35S ImageImage
Exhibit B: MiG-29K operated by the #IndianNavy made sure that the #Russians can buy a few for themselves after the #Indian production run was done. Else, they might have stuck to upgrading their Su-33s in the long run. ImageImage

Looks like my #IndianNavy missile test thread blew up so, a follow on thread on its sister force #IndianAirForce . The collective west, coming out of the Cold War expected the #IAF to be a more Soviet aligned force. #Su30MKI #F35B #TROPEX #εpsilon #MiG21 #MiG21Bison #Mirage2000 Image
The #IAF however has the unique perspective of operating the top western and the top #Russian of alternate &/or every generation egs Hawker Hunter (credits on pic), #MiG21, #MiG29, #Su30MKI, #Mirage2000 #Harrier ImageImage
Each fighter brings in with it, performance numbers but also tactics and maintenance regimen and India can tap into #Russian or #British ideas and pick and choose what works the best. Image

Let me understand this really well, 🇺🇸🇨🇦 #NORAD QRA fighters didn't shoot down the 🇨🇳 Chinese spy balloon in American, then Canadian, then American airspace? 😂

They flew right through the #ADIZ that the media get their bloomers in a bunch about when the Russians fly antiques through, and VIOLATED American and Canadian airspace, which the Russians never do, and the Chinese continue to do; did I get that right? What a bunch of bullsh!t.
I suspect the #USAF are flying their own spy drones over China on the regular, without the public's knowledge, in full view of the Chinese military, and they're terrified the Chinese will start shooting them out of the sky if they shoot down the balloon.

#BREAKING: I am hearing unconfirmed reports about an airstrike at #IRGC Proxies in #ABukamal, East of #Syria 10 minutes ago. It is not known who has carried out the airstrike but it is high likely carried-out by #IsraeliAirForce.
#BREAKING: It is now confirmed. The attack targeted a convoy of trucks carrying ammunitions and weapons for #IRGC Quds Force. The convoy had passed through the border crossing and was inside #Syria's territory!
According to local eyewitness, three small munitions (possibly smart bombs) hit three trucks loaded with weapons near Al-Hari village in #Abukamal region of #Syria. The targeted trucks should be around this point: 34°25'11.40"N 40°56'53.33"E

#USNavy #USAF #avgeeks #aviationlovers - NATF-22? Yes, there could have been a navalized F-22 stealth a la F-14 Tomcat with swing wings, Mach 2.25 supercruise, heavier landing gear, and so much more. So why did the US Navy opt for the F-18 and F-35 instead? I'll tell you... 1/ Image
2/ Congress wanted the NATF-22 but the US Navy pushed back. The swing wings would have compromised stealth and added to the maintenance woes. As it was, the F-14 was already far too expensive especially in the absence of the #USSR's military, which is why the F-14 was retired. Image
3/ The naval F-22, aka Sea Raptor, would have been slower than the F-14 and cost more. The F-22's unit cost was, ballpark, $138 million. A navalized one surely would have cost at least 20% more based on F-14 vs F-15 costs.… Image

1/ #B21 #B21Raider #avgeek #aviation #B21Reveal (tonight; 8pm). The #USAF's new B-21 Raider long-range stealth bomber aircraft leverages existing technologies, fast computer design, better production, etc., while echoing the now ~30-year-old B-2 Spirit. @kadonkey @Sylvia70485099
2/ Six B-21 Raiders are already in production. 100(?) planned. The B-21 honors Jimmy Doolittle's #WW2 raiders who flew B-25 Mitchell bombers off the Hornet to hit Tokyo in 1942. The new bomber is actually smaller in size and capacity than the B-2 Spirit.
3/ #B21 #military - World War III - The B-21 features won't fly low but at about 60,000 feet, hence the "diamond" silhouette vs the B-2's jagged rear. Unit cost could be $700M (my guess). To operate them for 30 years will cost about $203B for 100 B-21s.…

1/ #avgeek #aviation #airplanes #USAF - April 20, 2016: A quartet of Lockheed F-22 Raptors salute the OTD 100th Anniversary of the Lafayette Escadrille over the Lafayette Escadrille Monument, just west of Paris. The first squadrons to get the F-22... @Sylvia70485099 @kadonkey Image
@Sylvia70485099 @kadonkey 2/ were the 94th and 27th Fighter Squadrons. The 94th carries the Lafayette Escadrille's legacy, which is actually quite sad since it buried it. Here the French Air Force buzzes the same with some Mirage 2000s and a Rafale. Image
3/ The USAF's abandonment of the Lafayette Esacrille is truly disgraceful. France, however, honors the Lafayette Escadrille. Beyond the monument, the commemorative Dassault Mirage 2000 N, it actually has a Escadron de Chasse 2/4 La Fayette at BA 113. Merci, France! ImageImageImageImage

#avgeek #aviation #RAF #USAF #P51 - The P-51 Mustang was built to a British spec for a new RAF fighter and later served in the USAAF. Let's tour the fighter, from its prototype NA-73X to P-51D, etc., its development and different versions... @kadonkey @Sylvia70485099 1/
2/ The British Purchasing Commission asked North American to license-build Curtiss P-40 Warhawks for the #RAF. Instead, North American designed a more modern NA-73X prototype fighter with the same 1,090 hp Allison V-1710 engine. It first flew September 9, 1940.

Britain bought 320 NA-73 + 300 NA-83 (fishtail engine exhausts) and christened them Mustang I. This new RAF type was used for recon and fighter-bombing. It had a 12' wide landing track, simple production, etc. 4 x .50 cal; 4 x .30 cal.

This afternoon, a MQ-9 Reaper drone was shot-down by #Libyan National Army near #Benghazi. It was armed & approached #Benina air base from southwest. It is still not known whooperated this drone. First footage shows it falling to the ground while second shows its wreckage👇
Here are images of its wreckage. According to the spokesman of #Libyan National Army, the drone was armed which makes it highly possible to be operated by #USAF however #Italian Air Force & #RoyalAirForce also had their MQ-9 Reaper drones flown over #Libya within past few months.
This video shows final moment of the MQ-9 Reaper drone in question before crashing to the ground near #Benina Air Base at #Benghazi. It is said that the #Libyan National Army has used a medium-range air defense system to shoot it down. The system in question is possibly Buk M2E!

3: Lordsburg is a small town in southwest New Mexico with few military aircraft ops. There are military training routes in the area, but they typically don't stop in Lordsburg, and its usually A-10s, C-130s and F-16s flying out of Tucson. It was strange to see a VIP flight there.

On August 1, 2017, Bitcoin developers and node operators successfully deployed the User Activated Soft Fork (#USAF) despite opposition from industrial miners / startups — a pivotal moment demonstrating the network’s decentralization + “independence” from centralized control.🔥
This victory ended the Blocksize Wars, a tumultuous period (2015-2017) defined by controversy over.....(you guessed it) the size of blocks on the Bitcoin blockchain. ⚒️

A choke point is an area where traffic meets and a numerically inferior defending force can use as a force multiplier to thwart or ambush a much larger opponent or cripple the economy of large regions of the world.
This news is also important because Cambodia is chair of the 10-member regional Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) this year, Cambodia is keen to avoid the perception it is “a pawn” of Beijing.
