2/ @BBCNewsnight last night suggested that Tory spending on Facebook recently was in excess of £80k, more than double Labour and 20 times the Lib Dems.

This last week alone it spent £23k aimed at men primarily testing ads in different forms and drawing people into surveys.
3/. The same ads have different colour bars to test if one or other appeals more to the group as a whole and also to which age groups.

Does red attract people who lean to the left, whilst the sky blue those who lean towards the Brexit Party?

7/. Can’t help but wonder if they are targeting older men more than women (at least at this stage) because they are trying to KEEP their existing membership/voting base (older white men ) but also to pull back votes from the BXP (also older white males).

We do NOT know what money is being spent and how to target other audiences

We do not know what methods are being employed right now.

What messaging is being used to target younger people, women, to suppress the vote, demoralise people who do not support.
Instagram? Twitter?
10/. Yes. I am, for instance, referring to that astonishingly skewed Telegraph/ComRes poll with the messaging designed to bolster the view that a majority WANTED to leave without a deal and to leave NOW.

That is to demoralise YOU as much as to bolster the BXP vote.
11/. No need for ads there but they CAN use all those contact details they have been harvesting through Facebook ads and other means to send out messages and inviting people to post the information on their Social Media accounts.

So don’t give in. Just nod, explain & move on!
