It's pretty weird that media & politicians haven't still learned that they cant defeat Bernie in rhetoric. WaPo is playing directly into Bernie's hands. He is bringing back Chomsky argument. The last thing media should want now is more mass knowing about manufacturing consent.
Bernie had 2.1M donors emails at the start of 2020 campaign. 1M signed up to volunteer. My guess is Bernie has 4M emails. That's about 10-15% of dem voters who will vote in this primary. They all may not vote for him. But he can influence them.
Don't try to mess with Bernie. Don't try to bait him. Don't fall for his baits. This is someone who has thoroughly read or lived through everything that happened in politics for past 100 years. He has won many elections by taking stands that was not of electorate.
Read his history. He destroyed the dem machinery in his city, read how much they opposed. His won a United States congress seat as independent socialist, yes, read again, as a socialist. He trembled the biggest political machine ever made in recent political history.
Here's what republicans said in 1991: "Here was a candidate whose beliefs were broadly unpopular, especially in the abstract, who used his campaign to lead and advocate what he believed, and won".
