So we all know the top tier is Sanders, Biden, Harris and Warren. Bernie has now debated all others. Warren has only debated Bernie. What I understand is both Biden and Harris are little afraid to attack Bernie, one reason is there is not much they can do in a dem debate.
Only on guns, Bernie is a little weak, but his rural state, assault weapons, NRA D- rating, I had integrity answer is pretty good, even though I think he could do better on the answer. Also there is another question on guns, which he haven't answered this cycle yet.
But this is not the case of Warren. Second night told us Harris and Biden have no issues in going after dark history. With the history we know, we can expect a Biden in pockets of credit card industry attack from Warren or anyone else.
Biden could just change it to how hypocrite Warren is, that she was fundraising an year ago from the same people he is now fundraising. Also Harris could just ask her why was she a republican when Republicans were always anti-women.
And if someone does a low blow and brings up native american issue by saying Trump will bring it up, Warren's "I got into fight" answer wont fly. Everyone will see how Warren struggles as we saw in breakfast club interview. Harris opened a floodgate in first debate.
The entire dynamic changed when Biden engaged and showed that he don't mind getting his hands dirty. If Bernie somehow pitches in and conveys how decent he was in 2016 compared to this, praising Clinton a little, he may come out the winner of many upcoming debates.
The point is Bernie had nothing to gain now by hitting Warren last day as it was policies and she didn't attack. When Biden and Harris comes in, it will be not just policies but candidate specific attacks too.
In policies, Bernie tag teaming with Warren is good for him too, but on candidate specific attacks, he could just stand back and watch. i'm not sure Bernie will do it though.
He may feel bad and pitches in and say "she apologized and is now a different person, let's leave her damn history and move on" and everyone will stop the attack. Just like he did on Clinton emails.
That makes Warren stronger in primary, but if somehow she becomes nominee it will make her a weak general election candidate. Just like Clinton. It may be only democrats who are voting in the primary, but they're not the only ones listening.
