...a mission trip to Atlanta, Georgia during the Olympics. How that marked me, was that our training days were in an actual airplane hanger FULL of young Christians from many nations. We would have worship in many languages. I remember a Samoan team of fire dancers etc...
...and a team from India. Every different team led worship in their own language and the whole airplane hanger full of people from around the globe joined together in these songs from many cultures, in our shared love of God. We then spent six weeks on the streets of Atlanta...
...during the Olympics. The first person I ever led to Jesus was an Israeli man named David, on a park bench at the Atlanta zoo. I was just a young child. I am partially Jewish, and that was a profound moment for me...
I remember two other stories from that; first, I led a witch to Jesus at the dangerous area of “Little Five Points” Atlanta. I also led a man from Russia to Jesus by simply communicating to him in drawings.
And then, not sure who remembers this, but there was a BOMB that went off in the Olympic village when thousands of people around. I was there! Two people died. And then we had a parade with prayer and worship in the streets the next day. Darkness didn’t win!
These are the moments that lit a deep spark of revival and love and ALL NATIONS in me, at a very young age.
