2019 Season Postgame Thoughts Thread:

GT
-TL16 may have been too comfy. Telegraphed a few throws. Dangerous w/his legs.
-ETN is the best back in the country.
-Interior OL is scary good. Opens up inside running game.
-No wonder 28 left, 23 is better.
-CB7 could get Clemson to playoffs. No doubt.
-51 yds easy for BT 😳

GT
-Tyler Davis looked like the best DL. Both exciting and concerning.
-DE rotation was a revolving door. Not much to take away.
-Simmons is a werewolf robot heat seeking middle.
-Nolan Turner could start right now.
-DBs will get their test next Sat
-Spector provides needed depth

TAMU

-O still not quite clicking. Not worried
-ETN will end up w/multiple receiving TDs
-Lyn-J has best vision on team
-Tee is still the best WR in the country
-Disappointing to come out flat after half & couldn’t break 24. Missed blowout opportunity.
-Crazy that Amari is back

TAMU

-3 man front and 3 safety look. Brent V is a magician.
-Tyler Davis is already the #1 DT.
-DEs are a concern, no consistent push.
-Starting LBs made adjustments and filled gaps that were open in 1Q.
-DK is a boss.
-Nolan is a boss. More than made up for missed tackle.

Cuse

-O just not right. Play calling and execution not synced
-TL16 forcing throws and not making reads, still impressed w/his zone read
-ETN was going to be focal point until stinger, unfortunate
-Ross is not mentally checked in
-Tee is best WR in the country
-Amari is an alien

Cuse

-Coach V is the 🐐. No questions
-DL, even w/3 man rush, was dominant
-LB & S finding all the right gaps on blitzes
-Simmons is one of the best players I've seen at CU.
-XT3 is settling in and TD13 is already ACC 1st team good
-NT24 still a boss
-KJ & Rudolph impressed

UNCC

-Hoped to see TL16 get more time to get in a rhythm, but really not a big deal
-ETN has to tote the rock with more security
-OL didn’t do a great job in short yardage at goal line
-We got a taste of the supreme talent Ngata is
-CB7 is gonna make a lucky team great next yr

UNCC

-Simmons still a monstar
-K’Von really settling into the nickel. Remember how good Ryan Carter was there?
-KJ starting to make some noise at DE.
-AJ continues to lock down his side. He’s getting no throws.
-110 or 111 players getting in is awesome.
-Impressive fan turnout

UNC

-TL16 not making his reads. Locked in on 1 target & forcing it
-ETN’s fumbles are...concerning
-Tee still best WR in the country
-OL picked a bad day to have a bad day
-No intermediate game to sustain drives. Miss Renfrow
-Still no rhythm or tempo. Probably go hand in hand

UNC

-Outside of 1st & last drive D was lights out again
-Missed tackles at LOS allowed a few chunk runs
-Disappointing that slant route was left open all day. Thought we would jump one eventually
-Simmons...legend
-Interested to see if Tigers show more 4 man fronts against FSU

FSU

-Trevor is gonna be just fine. Made 1 bad decision, everything else on point.
-ETN is a bad, bad man. Feed him at the goal line plz.
-Welcome to the szn Justyn.
-Pleased with use of Amari. Looks healthy
-Coulda hung 70 today
-Potter has the tools, but not locked in mentally

FSU

-DL dominated the LOS. Nice to see even against revolving door at FSU.
-Simmons looks Top 10 pick good. One of the best to come thru.
-Mascoll impresses me in limited snaps.
-When Spector adds some more weight he will be a star here.
-Both TDs came against backups, of course

UL

-This offense needs to run through #9. Good things happen almost every time he touches the ball
-TL16 forced throws in 1Q, then locked in. Showed some mental toughness. Looking for a complete game from him.
-Ngata is emerging.
-Depth on OL has been vital.
-Ross coming on fast

UL

-Simmons may be best def player in the country. He can literally do it all
-Henry, Foster really coming on strong at DE. Stepped up in XT absence.
-UL avged 37 ppg & held them to 1 garbage time TD. Impressive
-K'Von quietly putting together a monster season.
-Go 4 it on 4th

BC

-Most complete game of the year
-TL16 was locked in. Made some big time throws & comfortable in pocket.
-ETN is just the oh so special. Looks better catching too.
-Lyn-J’s first cut ability is best on the team. No speed lost.
-Overton with his senior moment. Impressed by YAC.

BC

-Hilarious Simmons isn’t getting more national attention.
-Foster has been unblockable in XT’s absence. Stepping up.
-Thought we’d see more 4-3 and we did.
-Held Dillon to 76 yds. Lowest of his szn.
-Outstandinh discipline against play action.
-Spector continues to flash.

Wofford

-Great crowd.
-Disappointed in premature cannon shot.
-No one does military appreciation better.
-Play of the game was paratrooper deploying backup parachute.
-Dabo will not leave Clemson for a country music career.
-Tailgate food was 💯
-Everyone came out healthy. Amen.

NCST

-This offense is clicking and damn if it ain’t pretty.
-TL16 making smart decisions. Legit threat w/his legs.
-ETN is so fresh & it’s apparent.
-Weird to see 5 with two drops. Also just happy he’s healthy
-Ross is into playoff mode & looks locked in
-Backups were turrible

NCST

-Foster is best DE on roster. Creating havoc every down.
-Some chunk plays allowed when getting to 2nd level. LBs lateral speed not great.
-Tyler Davis is 42 & 90 level good. Thanks FSU
-May be time to try someone else at KO return
-Would like to see Skalski get another XP

WF

-TL16 is playing like the best QB in the country.
-ETN’s burst is as good as I’ve seen it in a Tiger uni.
-Tee w/a monster day in his last home game. Lived up to 5-star billing.
-All the hype around Ngata, but boy is Ladson gonna be special.
-Don’t see how you stop this O now

WF

-Muse having an absolute stellar szn. Has improved so much
-DL starting to dominate. Controlling LOS last few weeks
-XT may be in for a huge close. Looks healthy & could make a splash in postseason
-Terrell continues to lock his side down, giving DK more reps
-26 in a row 😳

SCar

-Laughable ppl aren’t taking more about what TL16 is doing. He’s locked all the way in. Legit threat w/his legs.
-ETN now statistically best RB in ACC history. Well deserved.
-5 & 8 are in playoff mode.
-TE involvement to prepare for Galloway’s return? I hope.

SCar

-After last yr you had a feeling this D would be ready & they were.
-Unphased by tempo. Only bit on one well executed gimmick play.
-No TDs and held to 174 yds.
-Not even sure Terrell had a ball thrown his way.
-FGs are a concern. So inconsistent.

UVA

-Talk about Burrow all you want, but 16 has been just as good if not better the last several weeks.
-ETN is still fresh. Great news for playoffs.
-I stand by the fact Tee is the best WR in the country.
-Surprised Amari hasn’t been more involved.
-Ladson looks just like Tee.

UVA

-What is this defense without 11? Maybe most valuable defensive player Brent’s ever had.
-Disappointed in pass rush. TD13 is easily the most productive.
-LBs can’t cover, but we already knew that. Will have to scheme around it.
-I wouldn’t kick a FG unless I had to.

OSU

-TL16 is a warrior. Won this game with his legs.
-ETN in space is a cheat code.
-Amari has to be more involved in 2 weeks
-OL had a night to forget, but did neutralize Young for most of the night.
-Glad to see Tee bounce back.
-Galloway played more than I thought. Watch out

OSU

-Brent wasn’t going to get beat over the top and it showed with big cushions.
-Dobbins got loose on 2 runs before the clamps came down.
-DL pass rush was non-existent.
-Spector needs more snaps.
-Isaiah is a pterodactyl.
-Dropped 3 INTs and still caught 2
-Stop kicking FGs

LSU

-16 was off. Effort was there execution wasn’t.
-Criminal that ETN didn’t have at least 25 touches.
-Went to Galloway twice then forgot about him
-OL actually held up good against the huge LSU line
-Concern about lack of use with slot WR this year
-Opportunities were there.

LSU

-That was the best offense I’ve ever seen.
-Isaiah is an absolute monstar.
-AJ wasn’t as bad as you think.
-DL may have quietly played their best game. Still a big drop off from ‘18.
-Forced 8 stops, but O didn’t help capitalize. That hurt.
-Losing Skalski was devastating.
