It is time for serious American patriots to confront and determine how to oppose effectively the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC).
It is nothing short of an end-run around the constitutionally established operations of the Electoral College, embedded by America’s Founders in Article II of the U.S. Constitution.

📍 People on the "woke" hard-left seem so self-righteous about their monopoly over Truth (with a capital T) that many of them apparently see no reason to allow dissenting, politically incorrect, views to be expressed. Such incorrect views, they claim, make them feel "unsafe."
They can feel safe only if views they share are allowed to be expressed. Feeling unsafe is the new trigger word for demanding censorship.

Politico has one of its patented, "Why doesn't anyone like X candidate" pieces. And at times it's unintentionally hilarious.

“A recent open-ended Pew survey put Castro below even Buttigieg in a poll of Latino Democrats.”
I'm not sure which survey Politico is using, but an August one has Castro polling at 2% among Latinos while Buttigieg polled at 1%.

Those are obviously really, really bad numbers. And humiliating for a guy whose whole pitch is ethnicity.

In the new case, Colorado was clear that the Popular Vote Compact is at stake: "[Colorado] argues... that we must decide whether there is 'any constitutional bar against the States binding their electors to the outcome of the State’s popular vote.'"

The 10th Circuit concluded that states do NOT have that power: "states do not have the constitutional authority to interfere with presidential electors who exercise their constitutional right to vote for the President and Vice President candidates of their choice."

1/ The idea that the Electoral College doesn't work because it doesn't always match the popular vote is a misunderstanding of the Electoral College.
2/ An electoral college is a group of *delegates* chosen by a larger group of people to make a decision on their behalf. The electors deliberate and vote amongst themselves.
3/ The House of Representatives operates on the same principle. Rather than deciding on legislation by popular vote, we vote for delegates, electors, representatives—all the same idea—to deliberate and vote on our behalf.

If you eliminated the electoral college candidates would devote resources to places where you could shift significant numbers of persuadable or mobilizable voters. That's not just big dense cities.
Under the Electoral College, no presidential candidate from either party has any incentive to do GOTV organizing in the deep south. Under a NPV they would. So yes, they'd campaign in Mississippi.
One thing about people who like to talk about how the Electoral College is good: They tend not to have given much thought to the workings of the Electoral College. Or elections. Or math.
