This reminds me of a local grifter who was on a board with me and often bragged about his LSE degree in Econ. I was suspicious because he displayed ignorance of some Micro 101 basics
Anyway, I finally challenged him, asking how he could have a degree in Econ from anywhere, let alone LSE. So he confessed he has a degree from "a" London school of economics, not "the" LSE. Not only that, a mail-order degree.
Which is also where his PhD in divinity came from, but gotta give credit where it's due, that grifter leveraged mail order degrees into a church sinecure & would have been safe if he hadn't embezzled from a city-funded program for people in need
