Molly's live tweets of the counterprotest of the fascist pride parade in Boston are... I mean, read them.

The police are an anti-free speech institution. It's wild that far right hucksters can credibly act like campus hecklers are killing the first amendment while this happens.
As much mileage as the right has gotten out of claiming that the police in, for instance, Portland are on the side of antifa and that they "surrender to lawlessness" - police routinely escort, coddle, and coordinate with fascist organizations.
The police are attacking protesters in Boston because they can.

Because they, the police, are aligned with the fascists who are marching and against anti-fascism and freedom of speech and assembly.

It's a basic article of faith in the manosphere that men want sex but not relationships and women want relationships but not sex, so both sides only get what they want through a careful negotiated trade of one for the other.

Where exactly one falls in the manosphere depends a lot on what one decides to do with that received wisdom. Pick up artists are trying to maximize sex while minimizing relationships. Red pillers may be trying to leverage their ability to "offer a relationship" for the best value
But they both believe that men are the gatekeepers and suppliers of relationships and women are the gatekeepers and suppliers of sex -- resources each side hoards while having no use for it themselves.

So, without even really trying to, I've thrown one of the larger parties at WisCon the past three years. And I know there are several orders of magnitude difference between a large convention party at WisCon and a private party by one of the most famous authors in the world.
But, I don't know. I feel like when you throw a party, you're giving a gift. It's the nature of hospitality. It's a lot of work, a lot of money, and... if everybody but the host has a good time, it's still a successful party, whereas if the host does and others don't, it's not.
Ideally the host should have a blast, too, especially if it's supposed to be sustainable. Burnout is real! No one should be required to martyr themselves in order to give the gift of a good time.

Main thing I learned from trying to debate with Gamergate ~2015 is: there's no point in trying to debate with Gamergate.

A lot of them are conscious trolls. Many of the ones who aren't, aren't motivated by belief in a fact but by the emotions that underpin it.
In the very unlikely event that you manage to reason one of them away from a position that they have accepted as true, that doesn't ripple to the next person who comes to argue the same point.

And the person you convinced will probably be swayed back by the group dynamic anyway.
The idea that, say, a certain set of allegations are false isn't something they know, or something they have reason to believe to be factual, but something that emotionally resonates and fits a narrative.

So they accept immediately any argument in support of that conclusion.

Far-right ideology is inherently irrational & incompatible with facts. It is based on xenophobia and hatred towards marginalized people. That's why having a "civic debate" is not even worth it. We are dealing with people who don't even care about facts & data in the first place.
Far-right people are very good at debating, not because they actually have good arguments or because they're right (which they aren't) but because they're VERY good at fooling the centrist crowd and trying to hide their xenophobia by using PC language to cover up their racism.
Terminology used by the far-right is constantly evolving, because as soon as we unconver their xenophobia they create a new term to fool centrists.

For example:
Nazi➡WhiteSupremacist➡WhiteNationalist➡Identitarian➡Alt-right

Racist➡RaceRealist

WhiteGenocide➡RaceReplacement

Free speech warriors forget something important. People have a right to free speech but they do not have a right to a platform. Free speech warriors blur the two, because if they didn't, they'd lose.
Moreover, free speech is a right protected by the government against the government. When Facebook shuts you down, that is not an infringement of free speech. FB can do what it wants for any reason.
Furthermore, the president did violate John Brennan's free speech when he revoked his security clearance as punishment fir Brennan's public condemnation of the president. Where is Bill Maher's outrage?

After the death of Heather Heyer in Charlottesville, the far-Right was in a state of disarray. Predictably, many attempted to use conspiracy theories and fabricated lies to explain what had happened as a "setup" to "silence conservatives," or instead, as a "Soros" false-flag.
Leading the pack was Alex Jones + like with Sandy Hook claimed that Charlottesville was false flag. He stated: "I thought Trump’s response was great…we know that Soros has been planning this..and like trying to create provocative events...the whole thing looks staged to me…”
