It's a basic article of faith in the manosphere that men want sex but not relationships and women want relationships but not sex, so both sides only get what they want through a careful negotiated trade of one for the other.
Where exactly one falls in the manosphere depends a lot on what one decides to do with that received wisdom. Pick up artists are trying to maximize sex while minimizing relationships. Red pillers may be trying to leverage their ability to "offer a relationship" for the best value
But they both believe that men are the gatekeepers and suppliers of relationships and women are the gatekeepers and suppliers of sex -- resources each side hoards while having no use for it themselves.
