What if the Soviet Union, instead of trying to maintain a completely insane economic system, had simply adopted state capitalism - without changing its party apparatus?

Would we have won the Cold War?

I think about this question a lot

Communism was totally insane, they couldn’t even make sure everyone had toilet paper

And it still took us 45 years to “beat” the Soviet Union?

How long, then, will it take to “beat” the CCP - if we need to?

Here’s another scary thought

What if their system is *better* adapted to the modern world than ours?

Social media is tearing us apart, we’re fighting a cold civil war over which bathrooms trans people can use

China’s got that problem handled

And that’s before we even talk about the espionage gap

China rolled up our entire intelligence network in their country a few years back

Meanwhile, they are targeting our defense companies with really sophisticated cyber warfare and espionage
