With so much frustration over Australia's involvement with the UN, I've decided to do a thread on their influence and cost to our nation. It's going to be a long one and a work in progress.I'll be starting out with foreign aid with associated contributions and progress from there
2/ So in taking a look at foreign aid I'll begin with what Australia contributes at first glance. These are our 'official development assistance' figures.
dfat.gov.au/about-us/corpo…
3/ I'd like to make a note that the largest allocation of this financial assistance goes to 'effective governance'.
4/ I love the wording of these categories....' Building Resilience: Humanitarian Assistance, disaster risk reduction and social protection' at an estimated cost of $664.8mil for 2019-2020.
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
5/ This initiative ties in with the below mentioned international policy which is linked into a larger framework which includes (surprise, surprise) the Paris Agreement. So this will come up again later in the thread......
6/ Humanitarian Preparedness and Response at a cool budget estimation of $450mil for 2019-2020. This also ties in with the above mentioned International Policy Framework.
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
7/ Interesting to note for later, most of this funding goes to 'conflict and displacement' as opposed to natural disaster assistance.
8/ Contributions to charity organisation's fall under this funding.
9/ The Red Cross wins big here, both the Australian and International RC get funding....
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
10/ The UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) received a core funding (terminology is important) contribution of $25mil 2017-2018.
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
11/ What this doesn't mention is the additional $400mil we contributed on top of that. This communication tells us all we need to know about our stance on migration of refugees-but wait we didn't sign up on Global Compact...migration. Doesn't matter it's complimentary to UNHCR.
12/ The UN decides on who gets resettled....Here I thought our politicians cared about these people (sarcasm), that's a negative, they are dictated to by the UN to carry this out. Medivac laws and all...
13/ You can find out more about this here....
aph.gov.au/About_Parliame…
14/ Yet we should be doing more.... This is an insult to every Australian.
refugeecouncil.org.au/intake-sub-201…
15/ UN-CERF is another emergency assistance fund, allows for rapid response.....
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
16/ CERF appears to be a nice little money making incentive. Further $mils go into this every year, aside from what Julie pledged above...
cerf.un.org/our-donors/con…
17/ Funding is complex to trace, many initiatives have sub categories that receive additional funding.... money is literally getting handed out left, right and centre.
18/ Planned Parenthood's international SPRINT initiative also gets a contribution...
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
19/ Further financial assistance via the UNFPA a nice little 'Population Fund' that fits in nicely with SPRINT.
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
20/ $100mil goes to an organization by the name of BRAC, helping people in Bangladesh...
dfat.gov.au/geo/bangladesh…
21/ But alas, they too are part of the UN Sustainable Goals partnership.
sustainabledevelopment.un.org/partnership/?p…
22/ I can only assume this is further assistance provided to Indonesia on top of the funds mentioned in the ODA at the start of the thread. Another $700mil+. Will be happy to stand corrected if wrong on this...
dfat.gov.au/geo/indonesia/…
23/ Additional assistance to the Philippines.
dfat.gov.au/geo/philippine…
24/ Australia Assists 7 year commitment at $82.2mil. Managed by not-for-profit RedR is 'the third largest UN Standby Partner in the world'.
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
25/ Timor-Leste continuing assistance over $200mil.
dfat.gov.au/geo/timor-lest…
26/ The interesting thing looking through these pages is that while much of the financial assistance goes to varying not-for-profit organizations and foundations, the UN is involved with all these groups.
27/ They are partners of the UN. Everything is in line with UN policies and recommendations, we do what the tell us to do. Their use of words is simply brilliant to justify robbing us blind.
28/ The World Food Program gets $106mil a year. .....'is governed by a Strategic Partnership Framework'...
dfat.gov.au/aid/topics/inv…
29/ This is the home page for the World Food Program site, interesting logo there 🤔
wfp.org
30/ Check out their corporate strategy....... even has 2030 Agenda popping up! #SustainableDevelopment
31/ The Direct Aid Program $22mil. Seems legit enough.
dfat.gov.au/people-to-peop…
32/ Then there's the sub program the International Development Fund working straight out of the UN. Worth another near $2mil.
33/ This is all part of AusAid. This is why AusAid was set up. It was another tool to gain control 'provide policy advice and implement the overseas aid policy of the Australian government'. It actively worked with the UN & World Bank. Note the two organizations down the bottom.
34/ Here's the list of not-for-profits associated with many of the aid programs mentioned previously. I commented on a couple of specific ones at the time...
35/ For anyone who pays attention to the increasing reports of nefarious actions by staff within these organizations, this should be concerning to you.
36/ This all is just some of the examples of the money we give in foreign aid/assistance each year, the total figure would be absolutely mind-blowing. The more you dig the more you find. Time to move onto something else.....Let's see what kind of money goes towards CC.
37/ Australia certainly helps other nations address and deal with climate change. Australia has pledged $1bil over 5yrs, 2015-2020, to 'support' other countries.
dfat.gov.au/international-…
38/ That's a lot of money, although our poor Canadian friends pay 2 1/2 times that. The contributions by the countries around us on this list, pale in comparison.
39/ Would you look at that, it's implemented through the foreign aid program. Interesting to note proportions of that money goes to the World & Asian Development Banks, Global Green Growth Institute & UN agencies to provide CC assistance to developing countries ($95mil).
40/ Notice the $8.5mil going to those 'initiatives' such as those from the Paris Conference.
41/ Then we have the Australian Pacific Climate Partnership, worth $300mil over 4 years dfat.gov.au/geo/pacific/de…
42/ There's that governance word again... they love being involved in policy development.
43/ Other areas of where that $300mil goes. What do you know more disaster funding and more $ to the Red Cross....
44/ Good old Scott Morrison has promised an additional $200mil taking it to $500mil, stating with a new funding cycle beginning next year. I wonder which ' foreign aid' program this money will be redirected from... none I'm sure.
travelweekly.com.au/article/austra…
45/ More funds to the Pacific region. $500mil to the Pacific NDC Hub which will be up and running next year. It's creation was 'inspired in the wake of the Paris Agreement'.
ndcpartnership.org/news/pacific-n…
46/ Guess we aren't that far behind Canada with providing international support via financial contributions for CC after all 🤔
47/ Since 2014 Australia had contributed $2.55bil to the Emissions Reduction Fund. In January of this year our government pledged a further $2bil to ensure we reach the 2030 emissions reduction target.
environment.gov.au/climate-change…
48/ This $10bil investment beginning from 2012 by the Australian Tax Payer seems money well spent. Investment in Renewable Energy technology development and emissions reduction. A great contribution in the fight against CC
49/ It hasn't been without its trials and tribulations. Abbott all but got rid of the corporation, then Turnbull became PM. We all know where Mal's heart was on the matter, keeping the money in the family.
50/ ARENA was created in conjunction with the CEFC although it must be noted they are two separate entities.
arena.gov.au/about/
51/ It appears that ARENA has also had it's issues to remain functioning but to date it's still going.
aph.gov.au/About_Parliame…
52/ So you may be wondering why I've mentioned these 2 of numerous government agencies/corporations implemented in the fight against CC. The reason is simple. It somewhat establishes Australia's ongoing commitment to CC, no matter how corrupt or flawed-we've played the game.
53/ Not what some would have you believe.... the 'use of carry-over credits to meet climate targets'. With all the hard earned Oz $ going to these countries, GTFOH. Take your business to China if you so desire, I would expect the purse strings to be cut immediately.
55/ Then they start up about coal.. Morrison gets labeled as 'very insulting & condescending'. Other words thrown in were 'reckless & cruel' regarding coal use. Passive aggressive manipulation much? China still seem appealing?
smh.com.au/environment/cl…
56/ Then you have Adrern in the background bleeting... Australia must answer to the Pacific. Nothing but a globalist puppet. #VirtueSignalling
smh.com.au/world/oceania/…
57/ Then China decides to stick the boots in.
wattsupwiththat.com/2019/08/21/chi…
58/ The UN got this ball rolling 2 months earlier, plant the seed while all are preparing for the Pacific Islands Forum.
sbs.com.au/news/green-not…
59/ This is important when you look at the bigger picture of who and what The Pacific Islands Forum actually consists of.
60/ Now let's see what Wikipedia (I know 😕) has to say about the forum. Note it's status at the UN in the last line.
61/ Further clarification of what that status actually is. They just sit on the sidelines when the UN permits then to do so, they ultimately don't get to make any decisions where the UN is involved (everything).
62/ I would assume the 18 'Dialogue Partners' listed there in paragraph 4, are the ones who do get to make decisions though.
63/ This is a great description of what a Dialogue Partner (DP) is. While the explanation is in response to a question regarding SCO, it gives you the basic idea. Given the info above, I'd say these DP's are a status 2. They have a say over 'all commercial sectors'.
64/ Just because I can 😁
65/ Seems the medical associations are now weighing in on CC, interesting 🤔
66/ Let's take a look at the health industry and the influence the UN holds over it. This is some seriously scary stuff.....
67/ The World Health Organisation is a 'specialised' agency of the UN.
68/ From their website, About WHO
69/ Here's what they say about the executive board. (There's that word governance.... again).
70/ Looking over the list of executive board members, it's very interesting to note that the USA doesn't currently have anyone assigned.
apps.who.int/gb/gov/en/comp…
71/ Financing of the WHO according to their site
who.int/about/funding/…
72/ The UN Development Assistance Framework (DAF) appears to be funded by governments through the UN Development Program (DP) and UNICEF. Wow look at that budget, almost $5bil 😮
dfat.gov.au/aid/who-we-wor…
73/ It blows me away how invested the World Bank is in the welfare of the people of the world, this institution just keeps popping up everywhere....
74/ I've worked in the health industry for over 20 years. The WHO has always been there providing the industry with the best practice guidelines through which we deliver healthcare. Universities base their education around this also.
guidelinecentral.com/summaries/orga…
75/ The list of non governmental partners (yes more partners-such a unified world we live in) as per the WHO site. Who would have guessed they are also heavily invested in the CC catastrophe as well, no wonder our Medical Associations are getting on board 🙄
76/ While the WHO is at the forefront of our health industry I'd now like to focus on one (small) area to show what seems to be really going on.This topic is extremely controversial and will anger some, please be kind even if you disagree. #Immunizations
77/ Let's take a look at the Global Health Workforce Alliance. It transitioned into the Global Health Workforce Network (which now operates within WHO) in 2016 after being, I guess you could say, trialled over the 10 previous years.
who.int/workforceallia…
78/ Here is the full list of members and partners, I have provided it as some of you maybe interested in checking it out after this next part of the thread unfolds.
who.int/workforceallia…
79/ There is only one name on the list I'm going to focus on here.... can you pick it?
