Hassidic man calling out AS legislator who said Hassidim are a perverted form of Judaism.

I pay over 18K in taxes and don't benefit from public education.

One of the biggest stereotypes of Hassidic Jews is that they are welfare dependent and cheat on taxes.

In Morroco they were called Mellahs (founded in the 15th century)

Jews were forced to take off their shoes if they exited the Mellah

Many were in close proximity to the king who the Jews depended

1/ The world is changing right in front of us; never before has change been as palpable. Most if it is being driven by technology which seems to be disrupting each and every domain. The obsession with technology driving progress to the exclusion of everything else is a bane.
2/ While it isn't a good idea to ignore technology, especially those that actually improve human life and condition, including those that make decisions faster and more accurate and those that make life safer and longer, one-sided technology growth will do more harm than good.
3/ Applying technology in context of people and environment must take precedence over speed and scale. Holistic design of solutions and services in individualized moulds is the path. Because the age of average is done and dusted. The factory model of #education must be disrupted.

Just for laughs I'm gonna key a politico-philosophical thread off this previous tweet & its comment thread. What is / was the Republican Party? More, what *is* a political party?
2. Quoting someone whose name I have forgotten, "A political party is a fundraising organization built around a philosophy of government." This is a functional, as averse to political, definition, and as such is accurate.
3. Politics is "The art and science of governing." When assholes like McConnell say, "So&so is just playing politics," it is always pejorative. Many Americans have come to view the very idea of politics as dirty.
