1/ The world is changing right in front of us; never before has change been as palpable. Most if it is being driven by technology which seems to be disrupting each and every domain. The obsession with technology driving progress to the exclusion of everything else is a bane.
2/ While it isn't a good idea to ignore technology, especially those that actually improve human life and condition, including those that make decisions faster and more accurate and those that make life safer and longer, one-sided technology growth will do more harm than good.
3/ Applying technology in context of people and environment must take precedence over speed and scale. Holistic design of solutions and services in individualized moulds is the path. Because the age of average is done and dusted. The factory model of #education must be disrupted.
4/ #ArtificialIntelligence and #Robotics will take precedence, and rightly so, in jobs that are repetitive and need a lot of number crunching. The idea is to augment human capability and not replace human beings. My friend @nipunmehrotra calls it #AugmentedIntelligence. Nice!
5/ We must not judge potential of application of #VirtualReality and #AugmentedReality too early. Writing them off before the pieces come together can be a mistake. Also, not everything can be seen from a Western lens. There's a whole different way to look at technology in India.
6/ The world outside the developed economies begs different solutions. It's a no brainer to take solutions that have worked elsewhere in the world and try to fit them into new markets. Lift and shift if you please, with some tweaking (localization). But it's also stupid to do so.
7/ Reality is cultural. Diversity is real. It makes sense to "immersively" understand the needs of stakeolders to design #userjourneys instead of just products. #designthinking is a great framework for collaborative innovation of the #CustomerExperience. And #EmployeeExperience
8/ Get an outside-in view to align with #DataAnalytics. See also how #exponentialTechnologies are creating 10x growth. Get yourself information enabled. Keep your eyes on exploding domains and look out for intersections. Every single organisation is ripe for #disruption.
9/ The time is nigh for individuals and organizations to disrupt themselves or get disrupted. One last thing—we have already moved from the age of scarcity to the era of abundance. Change your #Mindset or forever hold your peace.
