Wow. NOAA throws the National Weather Service Office in Birmingham, Alabama under the bus.

Should be some interesting FOIA emails there.
This is the tweet in question. It was posted soon after the President said on Sunday that Alabama was in danger of being hit by Hurricane Dorian (it wasn't)
This was the National Hurricane Center forecast on Sunday morning when the President said Alabama was in danger
The NOAA statement says the Sunday tweet by NWS Birmingham was "inconsistent with probabilities from the best forecast products available at the time."

But when you look at the Hurricane Center forecast on Sunday morning, Dorian is nowhere near Alabama.
