good advice for senior engineers who are trying to amplify the right signals: tell the stories of the dog that didn't bark, the outage that nearly happened, the outages that didn't happen thanks to early o11y investments.
a common misconception is that once a project is over, you can stop pitching it.

no no no. if you want to see more of that work done, you have to keep telling the story over and over again. with infra especially, the more successful the project, the more invisible it becomes.

* "wow, remember how hard it was to debug this thing before we invested in $tool?"
