@AOC In this case, Trump is "siding" w/ KJU in rejecting Bolton's invocation of Bolton's "Libya model" -- i.e. the US overthrowing a gov't after reaching a deal to end its weapons program. Sad to see @AOC "side" w/ Bolton.
@AOC BTW, a core tenet of US foreign policy is boosting authoritarians. See e.g. Obama & Saudis. To pretend that Trump is some aberration is myopic & dangerous. Hope you hear this, @AOC, I say it w/ respect for what you stand for.
@AOC For those saying I ignored this: (). It doesn't mean anything in this context. The issue here is not Bolton's ouster but Bolton's "Libya model", the issue Trump "sided" w/ KJU on.

I think Dems have made another major gaffe. If it’s really Trump asking Ukraine to probe Biden dealings & the fake Manafort ledger, those are legit issues. And Trump has a precedent: Biden got a Ukrainian prosecutor fired by threatening to withhold aid. nytimes.com/2019/05/01/us/…
The only way it turns into something damning is if Trump corruptly promised or threatened something to Ukraine to ensure its compliance. But I doubt that - and even if he did, he not only has the Biden precedent but other precedents too. Like it or not, presidents have leeway.
It’s totally legit for Dems raise the issue — but Schiff & pundits have done so with the same fervor as they did Russiagate, and we know how that turned out. And they may be calling attention to something that ultimately shines a light on Biden & the DNC’s fake Manafort ledger.

On the one hand, award-winning MIT professor emeritus Ted Postol's study on Syria chemical weapons allegations is published in a peer-reviewed journal out of Princeton; on the other, an Atlantic Council-backed site & Twitter trolls w/ no credentials are really mad about it.🤔
I am continually amused by people who dismiss veteran, credentialed, accomplished, informed voices like say, Ted Postol or Sy Hersh, while simultaneous claiming to be above "narratives" and uplifting voices w/ obvious conflicts-of-interest & no accomplishments/credentials.
Journalism-wise, it is also fascinating to witness how easily it is to marginalize or ignore expert voices when they conflict w/ fashionable narratives, like with Syria. Their loss is my gain: you can see The Grayzone's interviews with Ted Postol here: thegrayzone.com/tag/theodore-p…

What Biden just said about Obama's record is false: Obama admin did indeed lock immigrants in cages, and it did separate immigrant families (not w/ a formal policy like Trump's, but in practice).

For the last 24 hours I've been texting & calling with refugees in Libya. 500 are apparently stuck in a Tripoli prison w/o food & water after heavy fighting broke out two days ago. They say their guards ran away, leaving them alone.
These refugees are men, women & children. They tried to cross the Mediterranean earlier this year, but were found by Italian boats, who turned them over to the EU-backed Libyan coastguard, who put them in prison. The conditions were already terrible before the fighting started.
Oh the phone earlier I could hear children crying & what sounded like bombing in the distance. The refugees say everyone's incredibly frightened. "We hear machine guns, tanks, big bombs, last night from the roof it was all fire."
