Hi Michael. I appreciate the feedback.

You note that Ushakov is "as close to Putin as you can get with respect to foreign policy matters and especially the United States,”

If his aide was indeed the spy, it raises a number of questions in relation to the Russia Investigation.
For starters, why was the US so seemingly ill-informed regarding many of Russia’s foreign policy actions - like Syria or Crimea?

And if this asset was so highly placed, how is it that Russia was able to hack the DNC servers?
And why isn't this spy mentioned in the Mueller Report? If he was so highly placed, his omission certainly strikes me as odd.

As a frequent contributor to many early - and seminal - WAPO stories, your expertise here would be appreciated.
