Today I made a bit of a trip down memory lane: the Toyoko Flower Green Way is a pedestrianized promenade of 1.4km after the train line that used to run here, Toyoko Line, went under ground to hook up with the Minato Mirai Line in 2012. It has changed a lot: here it is today...
...and here it is a few years ago. Not the prettiest or most attractive of rail routes. The station it heads to, Yokohama station, is the fifth busiest in the world, with over 760 million passengers per year.
The old train tracks have been preserved in just one spot, but marked in bricks throughout. This place used to be the station of Tammachi. It is still there, but 30 meters underground.
