Postscript: The late William "Corn Pop" Morris's son, Leon Morris, 54, reached out to me today. He said he has no problem at all with Biden telling the story from the 60s, but he doesn't want people to think of his dad as a bad guy based on something in the distant past.
Leon Morris, 54, who works for a power company in Delaware, said his father, known as Corn Pop, was a "good kindhearted man who would do anything for anybody. He was always polite and respectful to everyone, that’s what he always taught me to be."
Leon Morris said he was born after the alleged pool incident, but his dad "swam at that pool all the time" and his relatives say his dad used to talk about Biden. Leon said Biden had to have "some type of run in or something with my dad to even remember anything about him."
