One addition to the factual record regarding Biden and Ukraine: contrary to how Biden made it sound in the 2018 story where he talked about getting the prosecutor fired, the prosecutor wasn't actually fired while Biden was there in Ukraine; it happened four months later. 1/3
When I asked Biden's campaign about the fuzzy timeline, a spokesman said the removal of the prosecutor was a "focus" for Biden in "numerous" trips and phone calls, since the prosecutor was a major impediment to anti-corruption efforts. So: this wasn't one-time Biden pressure. 2/3
Again, no evidence Biden was improperly trying to help his son; he was Obama's point man on the Ukraine file, and he talked to the Ukrainians frequently. But worth clearing up, because articles have said the Biden pressure happened on a March 2016 Kiev trip that does not exist.
