Might as well talk about it. Maybe a conversation will help avoid it. A civil war in 2019. Could it be like the last one in the middle of the 17th century, with armies marching up and down and battles? I thought not but then I thought ‘why not’? ..

2/8 .. Yugoslavia managed a proper civil war in the 90s. It was very bitter and prolonged. We would need the military to divide for there to be two sides with artillery & tanks etc. but civil war could also take the form of: army on one side, guerrillas & resistance ..

Well, if we reach constitutional, legal, political & intellectual stalemate then what? I have watched the SC hearing closely. Nobody knows the law. None of the brilliant advocates ..

4/8 .. or judges. If you watched you will have seen the confusion when the implications of a declaration of unlawfulness were discussed. Nobody knew what they were. The assumption that an outbreak of civilised conduct would follow seems optimistic.

It’s way passed time to wake up.
