Why isn’t that a knock against the Senators who won’t convict? How is GOP lawlessness and refusal to hold Trump accountable not a liability for the GOP in 2020 when it lost them the House in 2018?
If it were up to these people no White cops who kill unarmed Black people would ever go to trial, the prospect of yet another acquittal from a White jury would completely curb their appetite for justice.
“Is there any point in pressing sexual assault charges against your boss when you know he’s powerful and well connected and highly likely to turn it against you and manipulate his way out of it?” Doesn’t sound safe or wise in that context either, that’s b/c it’s abuser mentality.
