Probably time to start referring to Warren as the front runner.
And also as the person who appeals to the broadest range of voters.
Warren’s gains with black voters is also notable. Given that almost half of black voters have told pollsters that they don’t know enough about Warren to have a strong impression, there is much room for growth there.
Can we please have a moratorium on media figures saying, with no evidence, that voters in X state will never vote for Warren. It’s condescending to voters, and helps create the future “reality” it claims to be merely describing.
When I say there’s no evidence, what I mean is that it is metaphysically impossible to have data about the actions people will take in the future.
A lot will happen between now and November 2020. Warren has convinced tons of moderate and progressive people to support her. She’s done that by clearly stating her positions. This is not smoke and mirrors.
