Every elected Republican should be presumed to be lying at all times, based on the evidence of their actions and statements.

This should be the frame of every piece of journalism involving them, and it should be the assumption of anyone listening to or reading any such story.

People still pretending they aren’t all obviously lying in the name of some sort of balance really need to stop.

At some point the destruction of trust becomes so complete that mistrust becomes the honest default position.

Every bit of information from the White House must be reported within the context of the W.H.'s constant stream of lies and misinformation, its clear and obvious ongoing pattern of obstruction, and the president's oft-repeated belief in his own impunity to do what he wants.

It's not enough to say "President Trump said ..."

It has to be "President Trump, who has told multiple provable untruths every day of his presidency, said ..."

It's not enough to say "The Attorney General released ..."

It has to be "The Attorney General, who has repeatedly expressed his belief that presidents are not subject to the law, released ..."
