Until today I’ve been raising $ for *all* 44 vulnerable freshmen Dems whether they actively support an impeachment inquiry or not. After reading this article it’s time to reconsider in this case. It’s one thing not to support an inquiry, it’s something else to actively oppose it.
Done. FWIW, his Cook Report PVI rating is only R+1, and Trump only won his district by 5 points (vs. up to 10 for others who're supporting). Again, it's one thing to be neutral, it's something else to actively oppose at least an inquiry. There are limits.

FWIW, Collin Peterson (MN-07) is also staunchly opposed to even an impeachment *inquiry*, but his district is a whopping R+12 and Trump won it by a whopping *31 points*, so I'm giving him a pass here.

The $38,000 per year they’re putting away in savings is more than the annual GROSS salaries of around 20% of the population, I believe.
Here you go...28% of the U.S. population earns less than 200% FPL. For a family of 4, 100% FPL is $25,750. $38,000 is around 148% FPL, so yep...roughly 20%, give or take.
But hey, at least they’re driving a brand-new Toyota Highlander instead of a Range Rover! Sacrifices must be made, people!

The whole point of the ACA’s community rating rule is to ensure people w/pre-existing conditions can’t be charged more than healthy enrollees. “Wellness programs” basically guarantee that healthier people will be far more likely to hit the requirements while sicker folks can’t.
Instead of charging HIGHER premiums to sicker people, they simply reverse the process by charging “LOWER” premiums to healthy people. in reality it amounts to the same damned thing, since the base premium is increased to begin with.
This is no different than gas stations which say they charge $0.10 “less” if you pay by cash than credit card to avoid being accused of charging “more” for credit card payments to cover the processing fee.

Actually, that *IS* Trumpcare.
That sounds like snark but it’s LITERALLY exactly what Trump is pushing...hard. His “solution” to the real problem (which he’s exacerbated) of high premiums for unsubsidized middle-class people is to flood the market with junk plans.

It's time I had my say about #Impeachment, DJT's obstructionistic tactics, and @SpeakerPelosi's not pushing for an inquiry yet.

When AG Barr released the redacted version of the report to Congress, he did *not* include any of the underlying documents on which Mueller relied.

Just like a lawsuit, a case has to be built based on facts and evidence. Both the Intelligence Committee and the Judiciary Committee have been working their way through the system, including voting to hold AG Barr in Contempt of Congress. DJT has been fighting them in court.

Meanwhile, the Ways and Means Committee has also been working on getting DJT's tax returns. One of the Committees has also been working on getting records subpoenaed from DJT's financial management firm and from Deutche Bank, known for Russian money laundering.

A note on #impeachment -

In a court of law, under non-presidential circumstances, impeachment is a tool litigation attorneys use to discredit the opposing side's witnesses at trial. When said witness takes the stand under oath attys. present evidence contrary to what the witness
claims. This weakens the other side's case by discrediting impeached witnesses's testimony. Once a witness has been impeached - by presentment of inconsistent testimony - the judge/jury can no longer use the impeached witnesses's testimony in reaching a verdict.
Simply put, they aren't trustworthy. In the case of Presidential impeachment that broad definition of impeachment applies, but the impeachment tool is used for a very different purpose. Under the Constitution, a sitting President cannot be tried in a court of law for anything.
