Again, for those who believe I love travelling:

I HATE TRAVELLING.

I love doing the things I'm supposed to be doing while travelling, but the actual act of packing, taking a plane, or a bus, having to sit for hours, adapting to jet lag/new environmental conditions?

HATE IT.
I am learning to be generous with my body and myself and add a couple of days (usually weekend) to adapt to my new environment as I travel. Because no matter what, I'm my first (and sometimes only) and most important advocate. I have to take care of myself, at all points.
I travel a lot for work, not because "I love it". I have important commitments and I do them not only willingly but also happily. Distances are the issue, obviously. It'd be great if I could be just "ENERGIZE" and be vaporized into a different location for every trip I make.

Thanks everyone who recommended my site to @cwalterswrite (who's starting a PhD and is in first semester). I remember my first year very clearly because I wanted to write my PhD comprehensive exams at the end of it (I was young, naive and stupid. Most programs allow 2 years).
I want to suggest things that I've written about.

1) Develop a STRUCTURED daily routine raulpacheco.org/2018/11/develo…
2) Develop a routine for reading, synthesizing information and storing it for easy access raulpacheco.org/2019/02/readin…
3) Start thinking about what you want to study
4) Keep in mind what a PhD is raulpacheco.org/2018/11/what-i… and develop a Dissertation Two Pager (even if you're still WAY early to think about what your dissertation will be) raulpacheco.org/2018/08/the-di…
5) Even if you're not at the point to develop a DTP, think of research questions

To the extent that there is a “global evangelical community,” we’d have to look mainly at Pentecostals and charismatics in the global South, and they’re just as authoritarian as white American evangelicals. They’re Bolsonaro’s base in Brazil for god’s sake.

China is now facing a massive debt bubble – its private debt to GDP ratio is now a staggering 270% GDP - much concentrated in the shadow banking system.

The UK - as host to the Hong Kong Shanghai Bank of China - is particularly exposed. 2/9
The global financial system (other than in the UK) is relatively well insulated from the Chinese debt bubble, but a crash could curtail the country's GDP growth which, for the last decade, has been the main driver of demand in many other parts of the global economy. 3/9

I just watched @LumusVision CEO talking to @Scobleizer in his interview talking about the future of the company, future of spatial display technologies etc. One thing is very clear Lumus is not trying to be another Magic Leap / HoloLens / Meta ...
They are so clear that @LumusVision wants to position themself as Samsung's LG's of Spatial Era manufacturing the optics. I so excited to see them what Tier 1 companies they have partnered with and what they are gonna release in Q1 end (a 20° FOV light weight AR Glass)
