THE STORY OF THE PHANTOM POOPER

I know there is always a weird/big thing that happens in everyone's Middle School or High School, but I feel like mine is a bit different and I'm going to tell you in this thread. This is the long story of the Phantom Pooper.

I grew up in a small town of about 5000 people. It was the biggest town around for about 45 minutes. We were the only town around that had it's own school. All other schools have been consolidated. Things like this story just didn't happen in my town, which made it more bizarre.

Like all things that happen in a middle school, rumors were being spread about a Phantom Pooper. Basically, this kid would take a poop then make designs/smear it on the walls. All schools are understaffed with custodians and mine was no different.

The first strike happened and the custodians cleaned it up, but there was a rumbling that the school office wouldn't take this lightly. There was a memo sent to every homeroom and read to all 7th and 8th grade students. Why just those two grades?

The way our middle school was set up, the 5th and 6th graders were on one side of the school with their own set of bathrooms and the 7th and 8th graders on the other side of the school. The Phantom Pooping happened on the 7th and 8th grade side of the school.

If you have never told a Middle School boy about a poop story before, just know we were fascinated by it. Not as disgusted as you might think, because again we were middle schoolers. As soon as this happened, we were trying to go to the bathroom during every class to see

If it happened again. Like normal middle schoolers, after a couple days, we forgot about it. Then, BAM!, PHANTOM POOPER strikes again. This is now two strikes in about 4 days. The custodians are now pissed and they should be. The office is very livid at this point.

The middle school boys were once again very intrigued with what is happening. Again, all the middle school boys are talking about the incident. My brother in the high school has now found out about this PHANTOM POOPER. The whole town knows about it, but they dont know who it is.

The office decides to place a camera out by the hand washing station outside the boys bathroom in question as the same bathroom was attacked twice. The middle school boys were wondering if the PHANTOM would hit a different bathroom, BUT NO.

Next week in school we were still curious about the PHANTOM POOPER, but we hadn't seen him or her resurface, yet. The same bathroom gets hit again and we are just waiting for the guy to get caught. It was rumored that yhe tech guy, Mr. Ripley, was watching the footage of the

Camera. A day passes and randomly a boy gets called to the office. Everyone thinks that they found him. That guy is toast. About 10 minutes later, he comes back to class. Nothing has happened. Another boy called to the office. Could this be the PHANTOM POOPER?

ONLY TWO NAMES WERE CALLED. Remember during this PHANTOM POOPER time, many boys were going to the bathroom to see if they can catch a glimpse of the PHANTOM POOPER. GUESS WHAT HAPPENS THE NEXT DAY?! HE STRIKES AGAIN. 4 TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED.

The same two boys were called to the office. Could this be a tag-team effort? A pair of PHANTOMS? Or was one at the wrong place at the wrong time. Then one kid is suspended. He was in sports and when he came back to school, we asked him about it.

He said that it wasn't him and that it was another boy and he caught him washing off his hands in the water fountain so he could have his back to the camera. This knowledge sent the boys in the school crazy. This kid got someone else blamed and got away from the cameras.

What a PHANTOM! Or was the kid lying? To this day, I don't know which boy was the PHAMTOM POOPER, but similar to how the PHANTOM started, he was finished. What a time to be in Middle School.
