I told you when I first heard this daft idea of national unity, I told you it was just going to stir people up, and they were going to get angry when it didn't happen.

There was never any possibility of this, but you've got people emotionally worked up about it, you got them thinking it was realistic, and now they're getting angry because it hasn't happened.
It was never going to happen, but you convinced them it was.

Unity government. Fuck sake . . . Not only is it impractical, as you're finally beginning to see which is why you're getting angry, but it's also unnecessary.

The Tories won't sack Boris Johnson until the very last minute. They will reprimand and rebuke in public, but they won't sack him until the last minute.

And that means you have to just sit tight for another two weeks.
Because in two weeks we get the extension, and then there's nothing else to wait for, and we can have the election.

And here is the reason you're not going to get a national unity government. Regard these two facts

1. We can't leave the European Union until the 31st.

2. The government has to ask for an extension by the 19th.

Now, you may not think 12 days is very much time. But it is plenty of time.
If Johnson refuses to obey the law, parliament can remove him. If parliament refuses, or can't, the court can order it.
And the court will do so because it's the law.

It's what I've been saying for the last two years. We're not going to leave the European Union because there is no viable way of doing it.
All you have to do is have the confidence of reason, and stop reading English bloody newspapers.
