The Sun responds to the statement from Prince Harry, inevitably accepts no responsibility and instead goes on the attack.

A few quick thoughts...
1. The Sun's outrage at their supposed double standards on the environment rings hollow when it famously cares very little for environmental issues.

Extinction Rebellion are branded as "extremists" and an "eco-mob". Its coverage of Greta Thunberg has been relentlessly negative
It even employs Breitbart's climate change denier and all-round ignoramus James Delingpole to write columns on the environment.

In short, the anger at supposed double standards on the environment doesn't wash. So to point 2...
2. If The Sun *genuinely* is just concerned about supposed hypocrisy then fine, focus on that if that's what gets you off. But then how do you explain ALL the other stories? The constant drip drip? Such as this...
And this. Not to mention the MANY columns from the usual attack dogs such as Rod Liddle, Tony Parsons and Jane Moore. It's a coordinated campaign of hate. And yes it looks very much like bullying.
3. "We adored her and she cooperated...".

Here's a reminder of Charles Spencer's eulogy at her funeral...
"She talked endlessly of getting away from England, mainly because of the treatment that she received at the hands of the newspapers. I don't think she ever understood why there appeared to be a permanent quest to bring her down." Charles Spencer, 1997
And here's Stuart Higgins, then-editor of @TheSun:

"I have often questioned my role, the paper’s role and the media’s role generally in her death and the events leading up to it."
4. The Sun can deny the accusations from Prince Harry it wants but it knows exactly what it's doing, what it's always done and what it will continue to do with such ineffective press regulation.
