Serious problem that Salafism has invaded our minds so deeply that even when we try to counter it, we are using its epistemology as a starting point, or even as a foregone conclusion. We have a generation of Muslims who aren't even aware that Salafi myths are myths.
Picture someone who only watches Fox News and so all of their arguments are pre-filtered. They aren't even aware that these arguments are either untrue or that the counter-arguments against them are not just solid but devastating
This is what happened to the Sunni Muslim mind the past fifty years or so. We have a generation that grew up listening to Salafi myths to the point that they don't even know that they are myths; listening to Salafi arguments to the point they don't know a counter-argument exists.
How do I know this? Because I *was* a Salafi for a decade of my life. Until I dared to get to the root of every question, every position, every supposed incident, everything.
