I'm ripping it rn but I don't rly need to check it to know that it's not going to be an issue. Toonami did those edits in-house; it was never going to affect Funi footage bc it doesn't go back to Funi. And these eps are already on their streaming service.
One weird thing, though: it doesn't look like the full special version of 109-110 was dubbed. The full version is JP-only on Funi's streaming service but I assumed it would be on the BD. So I guess those extra bits that were only available on broadcast will be JP-only forever?

And for those who are (needlessly) concerned about frame drops on the BD, here's the clip I used to demonstrate the problem back when 110 was broadcast. I switched to the JP audio track for this because it is my personal preference, but this is the Funimation BD. No frame drops.

Curious about how licensing negotiations go for this stuff. Did @Funimation have unique storage space considerations? Did Toei (Shueisha?) ask for more $ for it? Could Funi potentially sell the full special separately like a movie? There's not much extra.
Or did they just not want to acknowledge the special bc they couldn't get @adultswim to broadcast it as a special? If @Funimation could sell it separately it would be easy enough to include an explanation of why it exists on the box. Maybe even a selling point for the uninitiated
