2/ His play may not be to sell consumer phone but...trying to create 3rd OS for a deseprate-to-get-into-hardware player who isnt Apple (iOS) or Google(Android)—like FB or AMZN or other—to buy his team and talent and OS as Google did his Android...
3/ Apple and Google control most people's on-ramp and glass/windows to connected world.
